Cazvid had a bold thesis: job seekers in Latin America would rather record a 30-second video pitch than write a résumé. They had a prototype, some seed funding, and needed to go from MVP to a scalable product across three markets.
The prototype was a single-market web app with no video processing pipeline, no payment integration, and no moderation system. To scale, they needed native mobile apps, a video transcoding and delivery pipeline, real-time messaging, and multi-language support.
We built native iOS and Android apps in React Native with a shared codebase. The video pipeline uses AWS MediaConvert for transcoding, CloudFront for delivery, and a custom moderation queue powered by Rekognition for content safety. The matching algorithm uses a weighted scoring model that improves with usage data.
Real-time messaging uses Firebase with end-to-end encryption. Employer subscriptions and candidate premium features run through Stripe Connect with country-specific payment methods. We localized for Spanish with dialect variants across Mexico, Colombia, and Chile.
Cazvid hit 50k MAU within 18 months of launch, earned a 4.7-star App Store rating, and expanded from Mexico into Colombia and Chile. The video-first format drove a 3× higher employer response rate compared to traditional résumé-based platforms in the region.
We needed a team that could ship fast and think product, not just take tickets. Techlign felt like co-founders, not contractors.
