Meridian University Group was running four separate legacy tools for learning management, one for course content, one for grading, one for video, and one for live sessions. The annual license bill was north of $300k, the UX was fragmented, and students were frustrated.
Faculty couldn't create a cohesive learning experience because every tool had its own login, its own design language, and its own data silo. Grades from the video platform didn't sync to the gradebook. Live session recordings vanished after 30 days. Integration was duct tape.
We built OrbitLMS as a single product that handles course authoring, assignment grading, on-demand video, and live WebRTC-based sessions in one interface. The content editor uses a block-based authoring system that lets faculty build courses without touching code.
Video hosting runs through Mux for adaptive bitrate streaming. The gradebook supports weighted categories, curve adjustments, and auto-calculated GPAs. Live sessions support up to 200 concurrent participants with screen sharing, breakout rooms, and automatic recording.
OrbitLMS replaced all four legacy tools in a six-month cutover with zero data loss. The university saved $240k per year in licensing. Student satisfaction scores for the digital learning experience rose by 34 points.
Our faculty went from dreading the LMS to actually enjoying course creation. That's not something I thought was possible.
