FundsVisor needed a wealth-management platform that could let financial advisors model client portfolios in real time, but they had no engineering team, no codebase, and a 12-month runway to hit market before a regulatory window closed.
The existing workflow was spreadsheets emailed between advisors and back-office staff. Errors were common, audit trails were non-existent, and compliance was a constant headache. They needed a system that could handle real-time market data, complex portfolio math, and a UI advisors would actually use.
We staffed a six-person squad, four engineers, two designers, and ran the full lifecycle: discovery workshops, architecture, interface design, build, and launch. The trading engine handles real-time price feeds with sub-second latency. The front-end is a React SPA with optimistic UI updates so advisors never wait.
We built a custom performance-attribution engine that breaks down returns by asset class, sector, and time period. The compliance module auto-flags trades that violate client mandates before they execute. Everything runs on AWS with multi-AZ failover and encrypted-at-rest storage.
FundsVisor launched on time, passed its regulatory audit on the first attempt, and saw a 38% increase in daily active advisors within the first quarter. The platform now manages $2.8B in assets under advisory.
Techlign didn't just build what we asked for, they challenged our assumptions and built something better. The platform passed our regulatory audit on the first try.
